Since noone else seems to have asked these questions and they are quite vital to game play i thought id make a topic.

1. How will taijutsu work?
obviously not every player is inteded to open the gates and go hulk mode, what will restrict a players ability to gain these skills and allow for others to gain them without having access to incredible jutsu as well?

2. Will there be a talent system?
this question is in close conjunction with the other as it could be a method to solve the problem, original world of warcraft had a 51 point talent system with players generally placing 31 points into one talent tree and then 20 into another, this could be fairly ballanced as should the 3 talent trees be replaced by taijutsu genjutsu and ninjutsu one can specialize entirely such as 51 points taijutsu or they could be somthing similar to 0/31/20

How will the pvp system work?
will there be a form of honor points used and will gear be purchasable with it, I really dont like the idea of accumulating honor points its like giving away items for free, in original wow there were 14 achievable ranks and only once someone reaches rank 7 could they even gain the average pvp gear and then only 2 pieces, the higher the harder to level it (which took months e.g you could only increase 3 ranks a week and you could only rank up if your standing e.g number 1 number 2 etc was high enough to allow you to. Just an idea but thats how you could run player hokages; using a similar system. http://www.wowwiki.com/Honor_system_(pre-2.0)

How will the pve system work?
will there be instanced encounters or is it all open world? how many people will be required will it be 5 10 20 25 40 50 an entire guild?

How many villages will be released at release?

will there be mounts?

Will there be battlegrounds?

will factions have the ability to be at war?

What happens when the eventual uh oh happens?
It is near impossible that this game will be ballenced in pvp, pve, items, abilities, bloodlines and players so what will happen when the inevitable reset needs to happen because too many players have take far too much advantage of their over powered skills/ items and the game becomes destroyed?? will we just keep playing betas/alphas until its perfect? will you just release it and run with it? In my opinion a restart will have to take place it could also prove to more evenly spread the player base out.

I realize that these are alot of questions and they directly ask questions which you may not have accomodated for in the planning stages yet but in reality these are the MAJOR questions, all other threads are generally irelevent in all honesty.
Im not trying to sound egotistical but in all honesty these are the questions which needed to be addressed and developed towards first instead of threads such as "I WANT THE SAHRANGUNZ!!!11"

You bring up a lot of points, but ultimately most of those questions cant be answered right now because we are still planning most of them out.

But the ones that can be answered will be

The PvP system most likely wont have an honor system, because this is a game about total war, so rewards in that regard arent something thats really been put into thought because simply, it hasnt really been something thats made an impact. Alot of items you will have to EARN but NOT through just gaining points and going to a shop to purchase it.

PvE is going to be open world/instanced as well as PvP, and depending on the area you are in, will depend on how much you will have to deal with.

The villages are still being worked on, but in FULL release we want to have ALL of the major and minor villages

Mounts will technically count as summons, so to answer that, summons will be your mode of transportation, if you can find a summon to use.

As for the over-powered players, we've said numerous times that everything will be pretty balanced, yes it will be hard to keep things as balanced as possible, but we want to keep things fair. Players wont be able to destroy entire villages without help for one thing, no pein moments. Everything will be adjusted accordingly, going from alpha to release until everyone is satisfied with the system.


Any questions that are not answered, are ignored mainly because we cant give you an answer to something we dont have. FAQ will have most questions answered so please hold any further ones until the FAQ is released.
